Winne Banta's Khoren Bandazian was presented with the Republic of Armenia Presidential Award by His Excellency Ambassador Garen Nazarian, the permanent representative of the Republic of Armenia to the United Nations. Khoren has been Chairman of Armenia Fund USA since 2011 and is also Chairman of the Eastern Regional Armenian Genocide Centennial Committee.

Bandazian Joins Firm as Principal
Khoren Bandazian has joined the firm as principal in its Real Estate and Corporate and Business Services practices. For nearly 20 years, Khoren has concentrated his practice on real estate and business counseling. He has extensive experience in all facets of investment real estate transactions and finance. In addition, he has extensive experience in the disposition of distressed real estate assets and has frequently been successful at navigating his clients through the process.
Khoren's business counseling experience ranges from the drafting of partnership and shareholder agreements to liquidation and other disposition of corporate assets. He has represented clients on issues from trademark infringement to corporate divorce. He is active as a leader in the Greater New York Armenian community, donating his time to improving the lives of the people living in Armenia.

Tax Reform Act of 2013's Impact on Professional Service Companies
A bill currently being considered by both houses of Congress would require all personal service organizations and businesses with gross receipts of $10 million or more to adopt the accrual methods of accounting and eliminate the traditional cash receipts and disbursements methodology currently being utilized. Impending Tax Appeals Deadline
With certain limited exceptions, appeals of property assessments for tax year 2014 must be filed in either the Tax Court of New Jersey or with the Board of Taxation in the county in which the property is located on or before April 1. The filing deadline, which requires actual filing by the deadline date, and not simply mailing by that date, is strictly enforced, and failure to comply with the deadline will result in the dismissal of the appeal. Reorganization of Real Estate Portfolio
Richard Wolloch of Winne Banta's Real Estate Department completed the reorganization of the Braha Family Jersey City real estate portfolio. Financing for the multi-site transaction was provided by Investors Bank, which is headqaurtered in Short Hills, NJ. The financing was arranged by Baruch Pelcovitz of Meridian Capital.
Vigliotti Serves Meals with a Mission

Effective November 1, the attorneys of Ferrara, Turitz, Harraka & Goldberg, P.C. join Winne Banta. The firm is adding Stanley Turitz, Arthur Goldberg and Dennis Harraka as principals; William Rupp as of counsel; and Doris Brandstatter and Marla Wolfe Taus as associates, as well as a number of support staff.
Ferrara, Turitz, Harraka & Goldberg has been well-regarded in the Hackensack legal community since 1990. It has a broad-based practice, but its attorneys have built particularly strong reputations in the fields of Government, Public Sector & Education Law, Tax Law and Wills, Trusts & Estates. Its attorneys have long represented a number of municipalities, boards of education, boards of adjustment and planning boards.
