About Winne Banta

Community Outreach

Winne Banta takes seriously its responsibility not only to be a leader in the law, but also a leader in the community. To that end, many of our attorneys and staff volunteer their time for several worthy causes throughout the year, and our firm provides pro bono services or otherwise engages in fund raising and other activities with and for many nonprofit organizations.

These include:

  • Adopt-a-family
  • Toys for Tots
  • The Institute for Domestic and international Affairs, Inc., a nonprofit civics education organization
  • Armenian Fund USA
  • Bergen Community College Foundation
  • The American Cancer Society and American Lung Association
  • Police Athletic League of New Jersey
  • Patterson Habitat for Humanity

Managing Partner Joseph L. Basralian is active in many charities, serving as a Trustee of the Central Board of the Armenian General Benevolent Union, the largest Armenian charity in the world, Trustee of the Bergen Community College Foundation, having served as its President for two years, a Trustee of the Winifred M. Pitkin Foundation, Inc., former Secretary and Trustee of the 9/11 Armenian Fund USA, and numerable other charitable organizations. In 2005, Joseph L Basralian was awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor for his charitable contributions to the community.

Starting in September 2009, and planned as an annual event, Partner Christopher H. Minks will host the first annual "Bring Your Ride" charity vintage car and motorcycle rally benefiting the American Cancer Society and the American Lung Association, and particularly supporting fund raising to be dedicated to lung cancer research and preventative lung and respiratory health initiatives.

Associate Doreen Winn regularly volunteers her time and legal talent performing pro bono work for the Patterson Habitat for Humanity.
