Allison Lee is an associate in the firm’s Tax Law and Wills, Trusts & Estates practice groups. She devotes much of her practice to preparing wills, trusts, family limited partnerships, powers of attorney and advance medical directives. She also counsels clients on how best to preserve their estate assets and save taxes for future beneficiaries. Allison’s approach to working with clients combines professionalism with a passion to help others, which helps give her clients peace of mind with the knowledge that their values will live on through the operation of a well-designed estate plan.
Prior to joining Winne Banta, Allison was an associate in the Estate Planning, Estate/Trust Administration and Commercial Transactions practice groups of the law firm of Paley Rothman, a nationally recognized suburban law firm located in Bethesda, Maryland. She previously worked as a tax consultant in the Legal Division of the Comptroller of Maryland’s Office, investigating tax refund fraud and working with state partners to combat the rising tide of tax-related identity theft, issuing sales and use tax exemption certificates to certain qualifying organizations and responding to taxpayer inquiries on a range of technical tax issues.
Allison was included on the list of New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Stars in 2017. She is the past president of the Montgomery County Chapter of the Business and Professional Women of Maryland (MCBPW), an organization of women and men actively involved in supporting legislation to ensure equality, equity and economic change for women.
Her article on the 2015 Advanced Estate Planning Institute (Maryland) was published in the Maryland State Bar Association Section of Estate and Trust Newsletter.
