Joseph L. Basralian represents the developer of the 19.7-acre tract in Hackensack formerly occupied by The Record, bordered by the Hackensack River and River Street. The first phase of the development, called Vermella Hackensack, has been approved for 272 residential units with a pool and other amenities. The second phase has been approved for approximately 13,000 square feet of first-floor retail space and 39 residential units above the retail. The development will ultimately have a river walk along the Hackensack River and public access to the walkway. Construction has begun. It is anticipated that future phases of development will follow in due course.
